Francesco Gori joined the Pirelli Group in 1978. His first years were spent in sales, and he rose steadily through the company over the next 30 years, culminating with appointments as Pirelli Tyre GM in 2001, Pirelli Tyre CEO in 2006 and Pirelli COO in 2009.
