TERN ATC SYSTEM (TAS) FOR FLIGHT AND SURVEILLANCE DATA PROCESSING TAS is a modular system which combines advanced surveillance and flight-data processing with an easy-to-use controller interface, enabling both tactical and strategic control with powerful conflict detection and resolution capabilities. Tern's ATC system suits a broad range of air traffic control zones. The system, based on Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) hardware and software components, combines advanced surveillance and flight-data processing with an easy-to-use controller interface enabling both tactical and strategic control with powerful conflict detection / resolution capabilities. The system is used in en route, approach and tower facilities and supports both strip-less operation and use of paper or electronic strips. FANS-1/A datalink applications are also supported. TERN ATS MESSAGE SYSTEMS (TAMS) FOR AERONAUTICAL MESSAGES TAMS is a complete suite of products for handling and processing aeronautical messages. The TAMS product suite ranges from a simple AFTN gateway to an advanced full functionality ATS message switching system, in addition to end-user terminals. TAMS products support all ATS communication protocols including AFTN, CIDIN and AMHS. The TAMS-Message Switch provides full AFTN message switching functionality in addition to being able to deliver messages using TCP/IP, CIDIN, SMTP and AMHS. The TAMS-Message Gateway has simple AFTN routing capabilities, designed for small AFTN operators that have a single AFTN line which is shared by few devices or consoles. TAMS-Message Terminals include a variety of operator terminals for working with and processing aeronautical messages in ATS operations. The TAMS-Terminals product line works with any AFTN-compliant AFTN equipment and is designed to work especially well with other TAMS products. TERN ATC SIMULATORS (TSIM) Tern Systems' ATC simulators (the TSIM range) provide the training environment necessary for realistic training of air traffic controllers for tower, approach and en route sectors. The TSIM-Radar Simulator has the ability to display and control hundreds of simultaneous radar tracks, supported through multiple radars of various performances. The TSIM-Tower Simulator is a 3D tower simulator designed to provide the training environment necessary for realistic tower control training. It can provide views up to 360° 3D surroundings, using projectors or LCD monitors. TSIM-VCSS, a voice-communication system simulator, provides an efficient and realistic communication between the pseudo-pilot and an ATC student. AIRCRAFT COMMUNICATIONS SIMULATOR Our Automatic Dependant Surveillance (ADS) and Controller Pilot Datalink Communications (CPDLC) simulator offers a integrated training environment to train air traffic controllers for third-generation ATC environments. Pseudo-pilots can either interact with ADS-CPDLC functionality using a realistic user-interface based on real-world pilot interface, or by using configurable scripts for increased automation. The simulator is able to simulate delays, corruption and error in delivery of messages, and the ADS-CPDLC standalone workstation interacts with the simulator as if was a real-world system; thereby providing a realistic training environment for the next generation of ATC systems.
