Bristol International Airport has awarded a turnkey contract to Systems Interface for the supply, installation and commissioning of a Normarc 7000 ILS equipment.

As part of this Turnkey contract, Systems Interface will not only be supplying the system, but is responsible for Project Management, Installation and Commissioning the ILS. In addition the company will also be responsible for all civil works for the equipment.

The proposed ILS system will consist of a two frequency Localiser System with a 16 element antenna and a two frequency Glidepath with an M-Array Antenna system.

Bristol International Airport saw a record 3.8 million pass through its doors in 2003, a 13.95% rise in passenger figures compared to 2002. Phil Button, the ATC Manager at Bristol International Airport said, “We look forward to working with Systems Interface on this important development for our Airport. Systems Interface has gained a good reputation for delivering on time and in budget at other UK airports and overseas, which is just one of the reasons for its selection for this important project”.

This contract is part of a major success story for Systems Interface worldwide, which includes the supply and installation of ILSs, DVORs, NDBs, PAPIs, DMEs and Fibre Optic Networks with many of the contracts being complete turnkey solutions, delivered successfully on time and in budget.
