RADAR DISPLAYS

Systems Interface has a wide range of specialist skills for the worldwide supply, installation and commissioning of approach radar, ASMGCS, ground movement radar and VTMS installations. Our service includes full systems integration of antenna systems transceivers, plot extractors, scan converters, radar tracking, radar recording and display systems.

VOICE SWITCHES

Systems Interface has positioned itself with Frequentis (UK) Limited, one of the world leaders in ATC voice switch technology. As a team Systems Interface and Frequentis have successfully completed a number of important contracts in the UK for East Midlands International Airport, at three locations for BAE Systems and the Isle of Man Airport. Systems Interface has also extended their relationship overseas with its parent company, Frequentis, whose headquarters are in Vienna, Austria.

Systems Interface personnel are fully trained and regularly updated with the latest Frequentis ATC equipment, utilising the latest techniques for switching and control of all ATC voice and data communications. With Frequentis we are also able to provide the skills to develop an integrated approach to the development of a fully functional ATC tower system from customised consoles to the most complex equipment covering; radio communications, telephone, meteorological systems, AFTN and Flight Information Display Systems (FIDS).

Additionally we can supply and install noise monitoring systems, standby power supplies, multi-channel recording, master clock systems, airfield lighting control/mimic panels, meteorological sensors and displays, integrated voice communication switches, airport PABX and AFTN equipment.

CONSULTING

Systems Interface provides consultancy services from definition to equipment specification and design, and can include sophisticated computer modelling techniques for surveying and selecting sites for navigational aids, including the prediction of ILS sensitive areas and the design and preparation of instrument approach procedures.

ATC CONSULTANCY

The Systems Interface consultancy practice based in the UK provides consultancy services to a range of defence and civil organisations worldwide. Services include the design and preparation of instrument approach procedures, studies for the definition of equipment, its specification and design, complimented where necessary by sophisticated computer modelling techniques for surveying and selecting sites for navigational aids, including the prediction of ILS sensitive areas. A whole package of tools to assist the aerodrome licensee in aerodrome safeguarding are now available from Systems Interface and its partner, whereas these were only previously available from the CAA.

PROJECT MANAGEMENT

Systems Interface manages turnkey projects for a range of airport equipment, including navigation systems such as ILS, DVOR, DME, NDB, radio and telephone communications, airfield ground lighting and air traffic systems, control consoles and displays. Typically, these projects will include civil works, antenna rigging, high voltage supply networks to remote airfield sites, fibre optic networks and LANs, cable trenching and laying, antenna and cabin foundations and grading of the ILS glidepath beam-forming area.

TRAINING

Systems Interface has developed a series of courses for personnel who are responsible for the operation, maintenance and management of airport and aviation ground systems. These courses are tailored to individual client needs and can be provided in the UK or, if suitable, at the client's facilities. Students will receive appropriate certification for the training. However, additional elements of the training, which may fall within the competence of external authorities, are submitted for external examination, leading to the award of recognised qualifications.
