Gatineau, QC, Canada - SolaCom Technologies, a communications solution company that enables interoperability over any network infrastructure, announced that it has been awarded a contract by the Canadian Department of National Defence (DND) to deliver an interface to the Radio Communications System (RCS) for the Canadian Coastal Radar (CCR).
The Department of National Defence had a requirement and needed to obtain a scalable, upgradeable, open-architecture interface for the RCS that would accommodate their CCR sites, and their tactical control radar units. SolaCom was selected to manufacture and test a system for the department. The system will provide Canadian Air Defence Sector (CADS) operators with the means to operate a two-way communication system from a remote location.
"SolaCom looks forward to working with the Department of National Defence on this project and to demonstrate how it can meet the distinct operational requirements of the DND," said Mike Walker, business development manager. “Our customers can expect a cost-effective, user-focused approach to design that also takes into account any unique conditions a system might entail."
