SAL Consultants - Aviation Safety Company Award

It is with great pleasure that SAL Consultants has learned that it has been awarded the accolade of "Aviation Safety Company 2005" from the Institute of Transport Management, joining its list of illustrious award winners.
"Commenting on the award, Mr Patrick Sheedy, Media & PR Director for the Institute said: "As aviation is a constantly changing and developing sector, the ITM were keen to invest this accreditation in a company which demonstrates a customer-centred approach, supplemented by a broad product range, which can undertake the various requirements for the smallest airfield to negotiations at the highest levels. With SAL, new specialisations are constantly being adopted in relation to airport airside operations and the safety assessment of Air Traffic Management systems.
"Furthermore, with SAL’s software product range and its most recent additions, the ‘Head Up Display’ for the Control Tower and the ‘multi-layer cursor’ system which permits the addressing of data underlying windows, SAL demonstrates its dedication to the fact that the ATC planner should be the master and the system the slave.
Mr Sheedy concludes: "We at the Institute are delighted to accredit this company for its stringent regard for the overriding importance of every aspect of the planner’s job and the enormous contribution their systems make to these efforts. Douglas Spragg, the CEO, stated that this award reflected the company’s drive to bring a new safety focus to all Air Navigation Service Providers no matter how small. "We are tremendously honoured to have been recognised by ITM for this prestigious award".
SAL in conjunction with JIG, an important emerging software development company from Romania, have developed their new concept of an airspace and ATC modelling simulation toolkit capable of providing a means for all users to implement new improvements to their aviation services in a safe and efficient way.
