UK-based Systems Interface, specialist in the provision of complex airport and air traffic control systems, has selected technology leader Ricochet to deliver a dual recording system for audio sources and monitors to London Southend Airport. Dual configuration ensures that no single fault can disrupt recording. The server will host an integrated storage solution configured as RAID 5 and will support 31 days of online storage — which is easily expandable by adding disks.
London Southend Airport is a long-established regional airport for south-east Essex. The airport is already 'home base' to a wide range of aviation companies, airlines and operators. A multi-million development scheme — including new control tower, terminal building and high-quality hotel — is currently being progressed to extend the range of passenger services.
"We are delighted to be part of the Southend Airport project," says Jørn Rød-Larsen, president and CEO of Ricochet. "Ricochet's recording system will be a vital tool in ensuring safe airport operations."
