Formerly known as PHI Laboratories, Precision Applications was formed in 1990 to manufacture IRIG instrumentation multi-track heads, including heads for the Storehouse voice recorder manufactured by Racal. In 2001 we became a channel partner for Racal / Thales, providing worldwide service and spares for ICR, Wordsafe / Maxima and Rapidax Ranger.

Precision Applications is now the world's only major supplier and refurbisher of multi-track IRIG headstacks, used in voice recorders. We offer a rapid repair / replacement service for all popular recorders including Ampex, Sypris / Metrum-Datatape, Loral, Sangamo, Schlumberger, Enertec, Penny & Giles, Thorn-EMI and Thales / Racal.

VERISTORE - FLIGHT DATA RECORDER FOR AIR TRAFFIC CONTROLLERS

Veristore is our latest product, showcased at Maastricht 2005. This is a hardware-based recording system aimed at the air traffic community.

• Continuous recording of all channels in a time division multiplexed data stream
• Recording using purpose designed electronics direct to disk memory, eliminating loss of recording due to software or server failure
• True 'Read after Write' verification of recorded data
• All data time and date stamped when recorded
• Time synchronisation of all types of recorded data to internal and external source - IRIG-B, GPS or RS232
• 16-bit high-resolution recording
• 16, 32, 48 and 96+ channels with 41 days continuous loop recording
• Continuous monitoring of alarm conditions and audio activity displayed on remote screen via Ethernet link
• Hardware alarm for communication failure
• Audio and radar data can be replayed immediately from any of the 41 days' recorded data
• Data can be copied onto CD / DVD and replayed offline using reply software

• Maintenance - we offer a full maintenance service including on-site spares, telephone hotline and guaranteed response times for all Racal ICR64, Wordsafe, Maxima, Rapidax Ranger and Ranger DTL recorders
• Parts - we currently hold in excess of £1 million worth of stock and are continually sourcing and manufacturing new components
• Repair - we offer a maximum two-week turnaround repair service for all the products we support
• Refurbishment - for deck refurbishment we provide a replacement deck in advance allowing a swap-out prior to sending the deck needing refurbishment back to our repair centre
