ICC has announced their new ATRAK X-recorder® ATC data recording solution will be demonstrated at ATC Maastricht 2007, MECC Maastricht, Holland between the 13th amd 15th February 2007. Part of the ATRAK® suite of ATC applications, ATRAK-Xrecorder meets the increased demands for safety and accountability without the associated intrusion or distraction of other ATC data recording systems.
Unlike video-based recording systems ATRAK X-recorder runs transparently to live ATC systems by recording the entire X window activity of a session in the controller's working position. The recording process ensures the highest levels of accuracy by capturing the activity in the exact order in which it is processed. Any session can be replayed as an exact replica of all the events, actions and cursor movements that took place during the session. This ensures total data integrity, to be used for post-event analysis, training or simulation.
The ATRAK X-recorder can:
Controlled via a graphical user interface, making it easy to use, the system is configurable to record locally, centrally or direct to archive. ATRAK X-recorder runs independently from ATC applications ensuring minimal overheads are placed on the operational environment in terms of resources and performance. The recording process is independent of screen size and it uses far less storage than video-based recording solutions.
"The ATRAK X-recorder solution has been developed in close co-operation with air traffic controllers, ensuring the demands of meeting safety regulations do not become intrusive to the controllers primary role", stated George Parobek, managing director at ICC. "The ATRAK X-recorder system demonstrates ICC's ability to deliver innovative ATC solutions that meet both the operational and safety needs of the air traffic controller".
ICC's ATRAK solutions can be seen at ATC Maastricht 2007 at stand no.516.
