General Digital has just returned from its seventh, and final, trade show of the year: the Air Traffic Control Association's (ATCA) 54th Annual Conference and Exposition. Featured were the new LS19 and L20 models from our Saber Standalone Solar family of sunlight readable, LED backlit, ruggedized LCD monitors.
Another big hit of the show was the third generation GenStar, which has served in the FAA's STARS program for 11 years. The GenStar III also utilizes LED backlights, as well as previous generations' Intelligent Backlight Controller and CoolBright backlight cool system.
Also featured was our 15.4in Combat Display Kit, which is not only military-grade, LED backlit and sunlight readable but also compatible with night-vision imaging system (NVIS) night-vision goggles. The Combat Display Kit is notable, too, because it requires a mere 14W of power to produce 1,000cd/m² (nits) of luminance.
On display in a fish tank (and fully operational) was our 8.4in Barracuda waterproof and environmentally sealed LCD. And, to round things off, we had our 37in Titan large-format LCD monitor in attendance.
General Digital came away from this successful trade show with many exciting new opportunities, including several from Latin American and Middle Eastern countries.
