Don Antonucci, former President of the Lockheed Martin Transportation and Security Solutions Company, has been elected Chairman of the Board of Directors for Era Corporation. Mr Antonucci joined Era's board in 2006, and brings over 35 years of industry experience and leadership to his role as Chairman.

Mr Antonucci retired in February 2006 as the President of the Lockheed Martin Transportation and Security Solutions Company, following a distinguished 37 year career. After serving in executive roles at Loral Electronic Systems, Mr Antonucci joined Lockheed Martin in 1996 with its acquisition of Loral, and was named Executive Vice President responsible for all technical, engineering, operations and programs for the Air Traffic Management Company. Mr Antonucci was named President in April 1998 and served in that capacity until June 2003, when he was named President of the newly formed Lockheed Martin Transportation and Security Solutions Company. Under his stewardship, the company won numerous industry awards for excellence, including the prestigious Air Traffic Control Association's Industrial Award an unprecedented seven times.

"Don has been instrumental in advising Era as the company has grown dramatically over the last two years," said Dave Ellison, President and CEO of Era. "Don's leadership as Chairman is vital in positioning Era for continued success, as the global adoption of our multilateration and ADS-B technologies are accelerating in step with Era’s repeated selection by the world’s leading ANSPs."

"Our industry is experiencing a global, wide-scale transformation, and I consider myself fortunate to be in a position working with all our board members to lead and advise Dave and his management team during this historic period," said Mr Antonucci. "The world's air transportation industry faces unprecedented challenges that simply cannot be supported with the existing radar infrastructure and traditional surveillance technologies. Era's next-generation systems are poised to transform not only ATM operational concepts, but also passive surveillance and monitoring capabilities for adjacent markets, including defense and security applications."
