The Corporación Peruana de Aeropuertos y Aviacion Comercial selected the ATC solution provider COMSOFT for the implementation of Peru's future country-wide AFTN/AMHS infrastructure. The installation will be completed by a state-of-the-art AIS system providing access to local and international NOTAM and OPMET data.

The central data and communication nodes will be installed in Lima, serving international communication links and eighty remote aeronautical data access terminals throughout the country.

Peru is the first South American country to be equipped with COMSOFT's AFTN/AMHS and AIS solutions, which have proven their quality in numerous installations in other regions throughout the world. As a bonus, data terminals will feature an additional language option: Spanish.

The selection process was based on strict regulations and elaborate criteria in order to choose not only the solution providing best value for money, but also a supplier with extensive experience in AMHS. The technical coordination with CORPAC started in February, implementation of the systems shall be completed before end of the year.

COMSOFT GmbH was established in 1979 and has been active in the ATC domain for 20 years, having gained a world-wide reputation in this market.
