Barco announces the next generation of Tellar, the company's turnkey software package for Air Traffic Control (ATC) display recording. The new version of Tellar offers more versatility and improved functionality for the recording of all aspects of the operational display system, as used in air and vessel traffic control as well as command and control applications. The display content and operator actions recorded by Tellar can thus be used for further analysis, operator training, sector monitoring and HMI evaluation. The next generation of Tellar answers the growing need for an integrated recording solution for display content, operator actions, and voice and system data.
Barco's UNIX-based Tellar software offers improved recording, archiving and playback functionality. In addition to the display recording functionality, Barco has upgraded Tellar with third-party voice and system data-recording capabilities. Thanks to this enhancement, integrators are now offered a complete, integrated recording solution for operational display systems.
Tellar also includes new, optional playback functions, such as the ability to generate offline data sets and the creation of Microsoft® Windows®-compatible AVI files. Tellar's archiving capabilities have been extended as well. Tellar now supports local archiving, central archiving and Network Accessible Storage (NAS), or any combination of these three possibilities. Finally, Tellar users are now able to customize their software to their specific needs thanks to dedicated open Application Programming Interfaces (API) and multi-language support.
The next generation of Tellar is now also available as an integrated component of OPScenter, Barco's software toolset for operational display systems, which has been selected for many ATC and maritime surveillance and security projects.
Barco's new Tellar software is currently available and has already been selected by customers worldwide.
