The twenty-first ATC Global conference, held between March 8-10 2011, is taking place at critical point in the history of the global air traffic management (ATM) industry. Titled ‘A Single Global ATM System – Separating The Vision From The Reality', it is where the industry's foremost decision-makers will meet to examine the challenges that inter-operability, cooperation and partnership will bring as a result of ANSP and government actions to build a truly global ATM system. It focuses on the global challenges of providing safe and efficient ATM services and especially on the political, technical, institutional and legal aspects of developing ATM services at a regional level. Topics include ‘The pathway to global interoperability', ‘Crisis management and contingency planning to avoid airspace closure' and ‘Identifying the future role of regulators in ensuring effective pan-national ATM service provision'.
ATC Global 2011 Conference offers a line up of leading industry speakers, including Brigadier Luiz Cláudio Ribeiro da Silva, Head of Operations Sub Department, DECEA, Brazil; Mr Graham Lake the Director General of CANSO and Mr David McMillan, the Director General of EUROCONTROL, as well as a wide range of influential speakers from many rapidly-expanding traffic areas of the world where the dynamics and economics of ATM service provision offer particular challenges.
