UFIS Airport Solutions (UFIS-AS) has been awarded a contract by the Airports of Thailand Public Company (AOT) for the enhancement of the UFIS® flight information management system running at Bangkok’s Suvarnabhumi Airport. The enhancement package, which targets an increasing support for the users’ daily operations, includes additional functionality as well as the installation of the airport performance dashboard (APD) application.

The enhancements will be implemented in two phases. The first phase will provide additional functionality to the UFIS flight information processing system (FIPS), aiming to provide more support to the users in daily operations. The majority of requests are coming from the users themselves after many years of usage.

The second phase includes the installation of the APD module. The APD will be used by the airport operations managers and will allow them to view the performance of the operations such as the first bag on the reclaim belt, the average duration for taxi time, the number of flight arrivals and departures, and the number of passengers.

All enhancements are scheduled to be completed by the summer of 2011.

“We are pleased to be awarded this contract by AOT for the upgrade of the UFIS flight information management system at Suvarnabhumi Airport,” said Holger Mattig, president and CEO of UFIS-AS. “These enhancements will increase the support to the airport users and further facilitate their daily work of managing the airport operations.”

UFIS-AS provides the airport information management system at Suvarnabhumi, integrating all the IT systems at the airport into a single environment.
