BQT Awarded Contract to Supply Fiji Airport with Security Upgrade

05 May 2006

BQT Solutions is pleased to announce that it has secured a contract to supply Airports Fiji Limited (AFL, Nadi International Airport) with a complete upgrade of its security and access control systems.

Airports Fiji Limited has chosen BQT's access control system including BQT's range of miPASS Mifare 13.56MHz smart cards, readers and biometric technology, as well as a completely integrated solution with CCTV video surveillance and monitoring.

Due to stringent international compliance measures put in place, this major security overhaul and upgrade will now allow Airports Fiji Limited to conform to international standards. Stage one involves the replacement of all the existing access control system technology. For areas requiring higher security, BQT's biometric fingerprint reader will be used for secure user identification.

This project demonstrates BQT's ability to supply complete access control solutions globally for airport security. To date BQT has supplied access control technology to Bangkok, Gerald Ford (USA), Adelaide Airports and most recently to Fiji Airport.
