Most contactless smartcard applications ignore the security of data moving between the reader and its associated controller / switch. The BQT HSM enables total protection of data between the reader and controller using AES, secured 3DES or skipjack encryption. In addition, this device overcomes some of the communication restrictions on the cable length between reader and controller, supporting a distance to reader of up to 1.2km.

BQT's facial recognition system uses the latest in digital image processing technology. The system can compare an individual's face to a database of stored facial images to detect a person of interest. The system can scan through crowds, detect the location of a person's face and compare it with images that have been previously enrolled or added to database. A match can be found within seconds no matter what the size of the database.
