OBSTA - Aircraft Obstruction Lighting and BeaconsOBSTA has, for more than 50 years, specialised in long-life obstruction lighting for high-voltage transmission lines, telecom masts, chimneys, wind masts and all kinds of obstacles, in compliance with ICAO recommendations, aerodrome design manuals and FAA regulations. BALISOR® HIGH-VOLTAGE CABLE BEACONHigh-voltage lines are a major hazard for low-flying aircraft. Placing beacons on pylons is not sufficient to ensure safety, because of the very long spans of cable. The BALISOR system (which was created by OBSTA in the 1970s) is a beacon for high-voltage cables of a low-intensity type. Its conductors take the power required directly from the catenaries' line, and the system is therefore completely self-contained. Cold neon light offers a very long life, essential to allow continuing operation of high-voltage lines (many BALISOR systems installed over the last 20 years are still working). COLD NEON DISCHARGE LIGHTSOur OBSTA cold neon discharge HISTI and STI lights are designed for denoting obstacles like chimneys, radio towers, air traffic control and lighting masts. OBSTA cold-neon discharge lights are red fixed obstruction light low-intensity type A or B lights following the ICAO definition, and L810 red fixed obstruction lights following the FAA definition. Cold neon light features include:
NAVILITE LED OBSTRUCTION LIGHTTheoretically, at 20°C, Light Emitting Diode (LED) lifetime can be as long as 100,000 hours (about 11 years). In reality, an LED's lifetime depends on many conditions that include ambient temperature and power supply reliability. The NAVILITE series has been designed on a one-piece moulded assembly which offers:
