860 LED LOW INTENSITY OBSTRUCTION LIGHT (32CD)

The 860 series red LED obstruction light is the first LED based L-810 obstruction light certified by ETL to be compliant with FAA standards. Like the D164, it is designed for steady burn or flashing to mark any potentially hazardous obstacle. These versatile lights are available in single or double configuration in a range of voltages to meet most obstruction lighting applications.

Designed for energy efficiency and increased life, this range uses 1/10th of the power of conventional fixtures and has a standard five-year warranty. The fixture performs well in the harshest of environments from –55°C to +55°C, direct sunlight and wind blown salt spray.

D164 LED MEDIUM INTENSITY RED BEACON (2000CD)

Dialight's D164 red beacon is the industry's first and only LED-based medium intensity obstruction light certified by ETL to be compliant with FAA standards. It easily interfaces into existing systems and can be provided as a red lighting fixture for new installations.

Designed to flash or steady burn, the beacon is used to mark tall obstacles that may prove hazardous to aircraft navigation. It is designed to replace incandescent fixtures and offers the benefit of increased durability, thus reducing maintenance and replacement costs. It consumes around 1/10th of the power of incandescent fixtures and neither emits, nor is affected by, EMI/RFI interference.

The use of a very robust LED mounting method developed for the automotive industry ensures that the life of these lights will exceed the five-year standard warranty by years.

OBSTRUCTION LIGHT CONTROLLERS

Dialight offers a range of control systems to support all obstruction lights. From photocell to failure monitoring, our systems can support single or multiple unit systems. We hold a stock of standard items and have the design capability to construct custom systems.

L861 LED TAXIWAY EDGE LIGHT

This elevated taxiway edge light is designed to retrofit directly onto an existing single or three step 6.6A series circuit and a standard shallow base can.

All its electrical circuitry and the LEDs are contained within an environmentally sealed light engine, which is mounted underneath the base plate and, as such, sits in the base can. Light is emitted via a vertical light pipe with a reflector on top.

Electrically the unit behaves as a halogen light. Its dimming characteristics emulate those of halogen and, if the unit fails, it will be in an "open" condition so that existing electronic monitoring systems can detect this.

Due to the use of high-flux LEDs as the light source, the energy consumption of this fixture is much lower than that of a conventional fixture, while it lasts up to ten times longer, dramatically reducing maintenance costs.

This concept is ideal for airports to gain experience with LED without the need to invest in new fixtures or dedicated electrical circuits. With Dialight's light engines converting conventional in-pavement fixtures into LED fixtures, it becomes almost as simple as a normal re-lamping operation.

This fixture meets the ICAO standards and is certified by ETL to be compliant with FAA standards.
