LEONI Studer - Ground Power Supply and Airfield Lighting Cables

LEONI Studer AG serves its customers with a wide variety of cost-effective standard and tailor-made cabling solutions. We offer 400Hz ground power supply cables for aircraft on the ground (AOG), as well as 5kV cables for airfield lighting. AIRCRAFT CONNECTION CABLES

BETAjet® 400 FRNC - deltaflex, quadroflex and smartflex cables are used in highly mobile applications for direct connection to the aircraft. On demand, we provide the harnessing with a selection of connectors according to the specifications of our customers.

BETAjet® 400 FRNC deltaflex with outstanding features for the end user:

• Concentric neutral conductor around each phase - best possible protection against electric shock - TÜV tested
• Orange abrasion indicator - facilitate maintenance and repair service
• Redundancy in case one neutral conductor is damaged - improved reliability
• Low voltage drop and symmetric voltage drop in all three phases - reduced power loss, no readjustment of GPU system required
• High flexibility - direct connection into the socket; no extra joint required
• Improved heat dissipation due to the enlarged surface - higher current rating possible

For retrievers, we provide the highly flexible composite cables BETAjet® 400 FRNC drumflex, smartflex and the twisted single core deltaflex cable. Retrievers were tested at various airports and showed strong performance.

FEEDER CABLES

Our 400Hz power, seven-core system cables are designed for fixed installations in buildings, hangars, cable clamps and cable trays. Power cables for indoor (important: flame retardant, halogen free and skydrol resistant) as well as outdoor applications.

BETAjet® 400 Groundflex is our highly flexible grounding cable for connecting aircrafts and mobile refuelling systems and provides an equipotential bonding. Like all new 400Hz cables from LEONI Studer, the orange abrasion indication is state-of-the-art.

BETALUX® SHIELDED 5KV PRIMARY CABLES FOR AIRFIELD LIGHTING

Design, materials and copper tape shielding, as well as an inner and outer semiconductor, ensure the long life span of the BETAlux cable family.

Advantages of shielding and semiconductors:

• Touch without risk of shock - safety
• Reduced ageing of insulation - increased lifetime of cable (MBTF)
• No blow-out light - reduced fire hazard
• No radio interference - more safety in air traffic

Special versions:

BETAFLAM® HALOGEN FREE, FLAME RETARDANT, FIRE RESISTANT CABLES

Safety cables for airports according to BS 6387 CWZ or according to DIN VDE 4102 part 12. Flexible MI types with no fire propagation and very low fire load. Available for fixed installations; flexible versions are also available.

Other cable solutions include halogen free, flame retardant cabling designs for use in the field of switchboards, electric motors, machinery and aggregates and highly individualized cabling solutions for railways, metros and the automotive industry.
