CTI Systems

CTI Systems - Aircraft Docking Systems and Aircraft Maintenance Repair Overhaul Service Systems

CTI has been involved with the aircraft and aerospace industry for more than 40 years and has developed highly effective systems for servicing and manufacturing of aircraft, such as aircraft docking systems, throughout the world. These systems include

  • Aircraft docking systems
  • Aircraft work platforms
  • Teleplatforms (elevated working platforms)
  • Equipment for engine test cells
  • Overhead cranes
  • Hangar crane systems
  • Air cargo handling systems and air cargo storing systems

AIRCRAFT DOCKING SYSTEMS

CTI designs aircraft docking systems for specific aircraft types on wheels or on jacks, or any aircraft fleet mix for MRO. CTI also supplies aircraft docking systems for aircraft painting, final assembly and conversion.

AIRCRAFT WORK PLATFORMS

Aircraft work platforms are designed to be arranged along the aircraft, enabling simultaneous access to the respective working areas. This allows CTI clients to use aircraft work platforms whilst taking into consideration the relevant aircraft dimensions and safest working conditions for the service personnel. It also means that all components needing maintenance can be served at the same time by our aircraft work platforms, leading to the aircraft being serviced in the shortest possible downtime.

ELEVATED WORKING PLATFORMS – TELEPLATFORMS

Elevated working platforms, also known as teleplatforms, are an original CTI development for quick access to raised aircraft working areas.

Specifically developed for aircraft service, elevated working platforms are used in aircraft hangars to enhance the performance of aircraft manufacturing, light maintenance of aircraft and aircraft overhaul. Aircraft cleaning, paint-stripping, masking and re-painting process is also assisted by the use of elevated working platforms.

OMNIDIRECTIONAL WORKING PLATFORMS

CTI's multi-mobile working platforms are equipped with MaxMove omnidirectional system, which allows movement in all directions and rotation around a centre point.

This mobility provides the following advantages compared to conventional products:

  • Easy to move into the optimal working position leading to increased safety and ergonomics
  • Increased usability due to the possibility of reaching working positions that cannot be reached with conventional steering
  • Possibility to equip the platforms with tools to improve productivity and ergonomics even further
  • Increased productivity due to faster transport and positioning
  • Possibility to customise mobility solutions.

EQUIPMENT FOR ENGINE TEST CELLS

CTI also supplies a wide range of equipment for engine test cells. Amongst the products in our range of equipment for engine test cells are:

  • Carrier and monorail systems for engines transport from / into test cells
  • PLC-operated crane systems for engine orientation and alignments
  • Jigs and handling devices for engine work stations
  • Work platforms for engine test runs

Other equipment for engine test cells includes customised monorail carriers, which CTI applies for overhead transport of the engine package from the preparation hall into test cells. Twin hoist carriers equipped with special lift-beams attach and release engine adapters. Track spurs in required locations give direct carrier access into the individual workstations and the thrust-stand.

The CTI-patented high-capacity track with raised treads – another product in our range of equipment for engine test cells – ensures trouble-free articulation of the carrier on curves and effortless travel on straight tracks.

OVERHEAD CRANES

The optimal material flow in production units is a decisive factor in efficient production processes. In many cases, overhead cranes and are the best transportation means for different material handling requirements. With CTI's overhead cranes, even the most complex material handling tasks can be solved in a cost-efficient way.

CTI provides various types of crane, including overhead cranes, travelling cranes and automatic / process cranes. All CTI overhead cranes provide custom-made solutions that will help in any specific task and they are specifically designed for heavy loads and bulky goods. Our overhead cranes can also serve the most sensitive handling tasks.

AIR CARGO HANDLING SYSTEMS

CTI is also able to deliver the complete range of air cargo handling systems, and handling and warehouse equipment for air cargo between airside and landside. Our range of air cargo handling systems includes:

  • ETVs, TVs
  • Rack structure with fire sprinkling system
  • Roof and wall cladding of the building
  • Work stations, truck docks
  • Conveyor systems, lifts, turntables
  • Cooler, RA-decks
  • CTI warehouse management software
  • Stacker cranes
  • Drive-over air cargo handling systems
