FAUDI Aviation has been a worldwide-operating company in the fields of civil and military aviation fuel filtration since 1938. We are a qualified and approved supplier of different aviation fuel filtration vessels and elements to international and national standards, including the latest editions of API / EI 1581, 1583 and 1590.

AFGUARD® WATER IN JET FUEL SENSOR

FAUDI Aviation developed the 'Aviation Fuel Guard' (AFGUARD®) – a prototype sensor which can detect free water in jet fuels – as shown in the third photo. The notable feature of this device is its continual measurement, which ensures the quality of aviation fuels and the performance of filter / water separators are always fully monitored.

Optimal separation of free water from jet fuels prevents freezing at great attitudes and the accumulation of microorganisms. In this way, AFGUARD® ensures the supply of clean and dry fuels to the aircraft turbines even before take-off.

WATER IN JET FUEL FILTER / SEPARATOR

Another sophisticated solution is the VFC-1 (photo four). This is a vertical filter / water separator, which recently passed the stringent approval tests of the American Petroleum Institute (API) to the current guideline API / EI 1581, 5th edition, category C, type S and S-LW.

COMBINED COALESCER / SEPARATOR ELEMENT

The installed combined coalescer / separator element type CS6-254-1 can flow 89L/min maximum according to category C, type S-LW, and 71L/min maximum according to category C, type S. The bigger element type CS6-355-1 can flow 136L/min maximum (110L/min as per C-S). Typical applications are general aviation (e.g. small airports / airfields, fuelling cabinets, mobile refuellers, mobile units, helicopter refuelling, etc.)

JET FUEL FILTRATION TRAIN-THE-TRAINER SEMINARS

FAUDI Aviation’s new 'Train the Trainer' programme teaches specialists in Stadtallendorf and all over the world.

Since 2006 Stephan Bellmann, area sales manager, among the Stadtallendorf experts for jet fuel filtration, has been introducing his students in minute detail to the secrets of pressure vessels, water sensors and filter elements.

With the 'Train the Trainer' programme, FAUDI Aviation ensures greater efficiency. Clients profit from knowledge transfer when the developers themselves explain their products to the users. The special feature of the programme is that the training can take place worldwide – either at FAUDI Aviation's headquarters in Stadtallendorf or directly at clients' sites.

FAUDI Aviation puts a high premium on a balanced blend of theory and practice in the selection of instruction materials, which include clearly laid out presentations.

FAUDI Aviation was founded in 1938 as FAUDI Feinbau by the engineer Fritz Faudi and has been continuously involved in the filtration and separation of commercial and military aviation fuels as well as industrial liquids.

We invite you to benefit and solve filtration or separation project requirements by using Europe’s biggest modern API / EI jet aviation fuel filtration test facility, including a laboratory. Dynamic testing of filter elements under realistic conditions is possible. This is an essential asset for future development as well as evaluation of aviation refuelling systems.

In 2003 we were the first company to complete API / IP 1581 5th edition approval tests for vertical and horizontal filter / water separators from flow rates of 83L/min up to 9,500L/min.

In December 2004 we were also the first in the industry to pass the API / IP 1583 4th edition test for the new developed 2in monitor elements, which are electrically conductive.
