Airport designers, engineers and planners have just received the means to help substantially boost to their productivity: AeroTURN Pro, an innovative airside design software program developed by Transoft Solutions, has just been released.
AeroTURN Pro simplifies the process of designing and evaluating apron clearances and passenger boarding bridge layouts. Incorporating components to accommodate the class of New Large Aircraft (NLA), such as the Airbus A380, as well as aircraft like Boeing's 787 Dreamliner, the new software will allow airports to efficiently analyze their existing infrastructure as to its compatibility with these new aircraft types so when they do arrive, they arrive with no unseen surprises.
As with its predecessor, AutoTURN Aircraft, AeroTURN Pro will retain the popular aircraft swept path analysis engine but it will also offer users the ability to create and assess aircraft apron clearances and boarding bridge layouts. AeroTURN Pro's inclusive bridge model library will allow designers to easily verify multiple bridge-to-aircraft slope calculations, rotunda locations and parked aircraft positions along lead-in lines, creating a comprehensive aircraft stand database more efficiently when compared to traditional methods.
Standout highlights in AeroTURN Pro include:
"We discovered that airport designers and engineers needed a highly practical application that included passenger boarding bridge specifications so that they could develop and check their runway, taxiway and apron planning design projects. Our principal intention with AeroTURN Pro was to continue to be very user-focused with the product and provide clients with exactly what they've been asking for most - exceptional performance, multiple functionality, and stability, all within one easy-to-use software bundle. For instance, if a designer's passenger boarding bridge is not available in our comprehensive library, they can quickly and easily create their own to evaluate the bridge slope with our unique 'heads-up display'," said Amanda Clark, airport business development manger at Transoft. "An overwhelming response from our users indicates that we have reached our objectives by delivering an advanced, industry-leading tool that will enable them to get their jobs done better and faster."
Beta testers have had an equal level of enthusiasm regarding the new product. Jorge A. Monroy, from an international renowned engineering company, had this to say, "(AeroTURN Pro) is a very impressive piece of software and also easy to use and can be deployed on different types of CAD platforms, without losing any accuracy or quality. Currently, I don't have software used to design aircraft stands. I think this will be the answer."
Other beta tester comments included Lincoln Chan from the full service consulting engineering firm, Hatch Mott MacDonald. "Wonderful software for airport design as both aircraft tracking and gate simulation are in all in one package," said Mr. Chan of AeroTURN Pro's uniqueness.
In her closing remarks, Ms. Clark added, "With AeroTURN Pro, Transoft Solutions is poised yet again to leap into a new level of accomplishment and I'm very excited to be at the vanguard with such an exceptional product."
