Large, clear-span hangars, incorporating the patented stressed-arch building system, significantly reduce the weight of steel compared to conventional designs. The technology utilizes the unique stress-erection method, where the hangar is assembled near ground level, prior to erection into the final position using stressing cables within the roof structure.

Designed to withstand typhoon wind loads, the inherent strength and rigidity of the stressed arch structure delivers superior deflection control. This allows integrated docking systems to be mounted from the roof, leaving the hangar floor clear for efficient movement of aircraft, which increases aircraft maintenance productivity.

LOW-COST PRE-ENGINEERED HANGARS

A range of standard prefabricated hangars, engineered to accommodate wide and narrow body Boeing and Airbus aircraft for both line and heavy maintenance are also available. Standard hangars, in spans of 50m, 80m, 90m and 100m, have been designed to provide adequate clearances within the hangar, allowing safe and efficient movement of standard commercial aircraft. These hangars offer an efficient low-cost alternative to custom designed facilities.

AIRCRAFT DOCKING SYSTEMS

STRARCH is a major supplier of docking systems to the aviation industry. We undertake coordination of design, fabrication, installation, commissioning, on-site technical training, and after-sales support and maintenance.

The types of systems supplied include dedicated nose, tail, fuselage, and wing docks tailored to the aircraft and customer needs, as well as combination docks designed to suit a range of aircraft types.

MODULAR RAPID DEPOYMENT MILITARY SHELTER SYSTEMS

A fully modular, re-deployable aircraft shelter system is now in development for military applications such as aircraft, tank and personnel transport vehicles. The building system is made from a fibre composite - a strong and lightweight material with corrosion resistance and longevity properties. A few men using basic equipment can raise the shelters from ground level to an erect position in one day.
