South Africa International Airports Industry Showcase - The Essential Airport Industry ExchangeThe second Airports Industry Showcase will take place in Johannesburg in October 2007. This follows the highly successful inaugural event in November 2005. The November event will be incorporated into Afribuild, a well-established and highly successful exhibition. The benefits to exhibitors include the introduction of a broader audience. THE FIRST AIRPORT INDUSTRY SHOWCASEInfrastructure development in South Africa is at an all time high, with just three years to go before the country hosts the FIFA world cup. Added to this is the fact that air travel in Africa is set for previously unseen levels of growth over the next 20 years. The first ever Airports Industry Showcase ran successfully in Johannesburg last year, with around 1,400 visitors going through its doors. The showcase exhibited a broad range of products critical for the profitable management and development of African airports. A PLATFORM FOR NETWORKING WITHIN THE AVIATION INDUSTRYThe Airports Industry Showcase facilitates networking between African airport role-players and African and international suppliers of products, services and technologies in order to ensure that they are able to effectively and profitably satisfy the requirements of the growing aviation sector on the continent. This exhibition will enable the target audience to evaluate appropriate equipment, products, materials, services and technologies for efficient and profitable airport management and for new airport construction and development. The South African International Airports Industry Showcase provides a great platform for information exchange, networking and procurement on projects. MARKETING TO KEY AVIATION DECISION MAKERS64.5% of the visitors to the 2005 showcase indicated that they were at management level and above in their companies. There are many reasons for the growth in Africa's air transport. The impact of globalization, the economic integration within Africa and the liberalization in both trade and transport all lead to a growth of air transport. The privatization of many state-owned industries in Africa, including those in the aviation sector, also contributes to this growth. Democratization in Africa also results in increased political and economic stability with the benefits of economic growth and an increase in tourism. The impact of Africa's economic expansion and the growth in air transport will inevitably place pressures on Africa's infrastructure, the airport sector being an important example. ENDORSED BY AIRPORTS COMPANY SOUTH AFRICAThe South Africa International Airport Industry Showcase is endorsed by the Airports Company South Africa (ACSA).
