GTS Gartner Tore and Service - Sliding and Folding Gate SystemsGartner Tore + Service (GTS) offers custom-built gate solutions for the widest possible range of technical requirements and applications. Among other products, we manufacture sliding gate systems with extraordinary dimensions for aircraft hangars and pivoting or lifting gates that can fulfil the aesthetic elements necessary for public buildings or exhibition halls. As a subsidiary of the facade manufacturer Josef Gartner GmbH and of the world market leader Permasteelisa Group, the name Gartner Tore + Service is synonymous with high quality and reliability. We provide a comprehensive gate manufacture service. We are involved in every step of the process, from consulting, through design, assembly and installation, right up to maintenance and care of our high-grade gate systems. FREESTANDING FOLDING GATE SYSTEMSGTS free-standing folding gate systems are ideal for use in rescue service vehicles such as fire-engines, public transport vehicles for either road or rail, and security or industrial vehicles. GTS folding gates have developed a reputation for being fast and efficient. They open from the centre and their freestanding design, which eliminates the need for floor guides, ensures that the gate cannot be blocked by dirt or frost. The drives co-developed by GTS have shock absorbers at the end positions so that they work quietly and without impact, guaranteeing the fault-free operation, which has been proven in endurance tests with 200,000 stress cycles. SOLID STEEL CUSTOMISED GATE SYSTEMSMany of the folding gate systems produced by GTS have been developed in solid steel. The use of this material ensures that GTS gates are robust and strong. GTS has also provided sliding and lifting gates for various projects. Pivoting gates and butterfly gates have been built to customers' requirements. Whether hand-operated or power-operated, GTS gates are always reliable. GTS' specialist knowledge in building non-standard gates means that whatever your requirements we can find a gate system that's right for you. INTERNATIONAL GATE MANUFACTURERSGTS began as a small company based in Germany. The markets in Germany, particularly the construction industry, were faced with economic troubles for quite some time. However, GTS fought through those troubles and now emerges as a major international player. Two of GTS' most prominent international projects are the gates for the Museum of Modern Art in New York and the Plantation Place Building in London. SLIDING GATES FOR AIRCRAFT HANGARSGTS installed one of Europe's largest sliding gates in Germany recently. GTS provided a sliding gate for a new aircraft maintenance hangar for Lufthansa Condor Cargo in Frankfurt. Six single leaves will be moved on three separate guidelines to form a gate of width 175.00m and height 2.050m. Each leave, and especially the top guide rail, consists of massive steel structures to take extreme wind loads. The leaves, as well as the whole building, are cladded with Everlite® translucent polycarbonate panels. POWER-OPERATED UPWARD FOLDING GATESIn summer 2006, GTS finished installing 24 power-operated upward folding gates for the Dubai International Finance Centre in the United Arab Emirates. These gates, 850m wide and 400m high, were custom-made according to certain strict specifications. The gates have to temporarily close shopping colonnades during the extremely hot summer season to keep the inside cool and air-conditioned. To ensure the gates weren't affected by condensation or foggy glass, they were built with a full thermal break. During the more pleasant temperatures of the gulf region winter season the gates will be lifted and folded upwards - like a canopy - to grant people free access to the yard adjacent to the colonnades.
