ServiceTec Airport Services International - IT Support for Airport SystemsServiceTec Airport Services International (SASI) is a wholly-owned subsidiary of ServiceTec Global Services Limited - one of the world's leading independent providers of comprehensive and cost-effective IT infrastructure management, operation and support solutions. In addition to supporting over 25,000 system devices and some 500 self-service devices at the world's busiest airports, SASI's services extend into other core application areas, including ticketing and check-in, common user self-service systems, automatic boarder passage, biometrics, self-service kiosks, flight information display systems, MUFIDS, quick boarding gate systems, baggage reconciliation, airport operational database and gate management systems. MAINTAINING AND REPAIRING AIRPORT AND AIRLINE SYSTEMSSASI is a world leader in IT support for the mission critical systems of airports. Operating globally from bases in Europe, North America and the Far East, SASI maintains and repairs airline and airport systems faster than any other service provider, avoiding costly and damaging delays. This, plus close working relationships with all of the key manufacturers, has enabled SASI to build a substantial database of hardware fault analysis. As a completely independent organisation, SASI has helped airports break-out of silo-based support infrastructures through solutions where economies of scale can be achieved without compromising either system integrity or performance. Such a structure can only be achieved by an organisation with the ability to create successful business and technical relationships with all of the major industry players. NEW GENERATION SOLUTIONS AND SERVICES SASI remains at the forefront of new generation technology and continues to evolve in line with technology advances developed by the core system providers. Through partnerships with key international players SASI maintains and supports kiosks, biometric recognition systems, automatic boarder passage and image capture systems in airports throughout the world. BIOMETRICS AND ACCESS CONTROL SYSTEMSSASI is a world leader in the support and maintenance of biometric and access control systems within the airport environment and was the first services organisation to be contracted to support an automatic border passage system (Privium at Schiphol). Privium is now an airport-wide biometric access control system which, eight years later, is still serviced and maintained by SASI. Recently, SASI partnered with Sagem SA to support and maintain IRIS (Iris Recognition Immigration System) at all UK airports, including Heathrow, Manchester, Gatwick, Birmingham and Stansted. COMMON USER SELF-SERVICE KIOSKSSASI also has an unrivalled reputation with Common User Self-Service (CUSS) kiosks and has provided support services on common use systems for 13 years. With a proven track record of providing support for airport and airline check-in kiosks and multi-function kiosks, SASI has substantial experience in supporting a wide range of kiosks, including those provided by SITA, ARINC, IBM and IER. More recently, as a part of an ongoing capabilities improvement programme, SASI has expanded its support knowledge on kinetics device platforms to provide support services and comparative analysis on all the major vendor devices. SUPPORTING AIRPORT SYSTEMS WORLDWIDEAs independent service support specialists, SASI has formed strategic partnerships (which include full certification) with systems partners ARINC, SITA and Ultra, and technical partners including IER, Fujitsu, Access, Desko and Ove Arup. SASI’s current airport customer base includes Heathrow, Manchester, Stansted, Schiphol, Munich, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Minneapolis-St. Paul, Washington Dulles, Miami, Orlando, Boston, Philadelphia, Houston, New York, Toronto and Calgary. ServiceTec provides 24 hour service maintenance support 365 days a year for Ultra Baggage Reconciliation Systems (BRS) at nine major North American airports. On the 10th January 2006, ServiceTec passed the milestone of 1 million systems hours supporting common use systems, and is now approaching the 750,000 mark for supporting ancillary systems.
