Logistics Consultancy Services Group (LCSG) is an independent consultancy company with a head office in the Netherlands and a branch office in Germany.

LCSG's range of services includes organisational set-up and support, market potential analysis and financial viability studies, requirement analysis, warehouse design and simulation, tendering, tender evaluation and tender advice, and realisation, integration, handover and start-up support.

Our services can be ordered individually or in an all-inclusive package.

OPTIMISED ECONOMICAL AND TECHNICAL SOLUTIONS

Through the rare combination of IT, mechanical and process management experience at end-user and manufacturer side, we are well equipped to offer optimised economical and technical solutions.

ORGANISATIONAL SET-UP AND SUPPORT

The current operational standards and performance are reviewed and/or new standards and procedures are developed either based on a market potential analysis, the client’s future plans and/or local developments.

All operational processes will be evaluated, checked on plausibility and discussed with the client. The deliverables include an organisational set-up and manpower plan. If applicable, LCSG can optimize and (re)write operational procedures, job descriptions, workplace descriptions and operational procedures

LCSG also boasts of considerable expertise in the field of interim operational management.

STRATEGIC PLANNING

Adequate planning and control are pre-requisites for a successful project. We organise for a detailed overall planning of the requirements, even for the peak periods, to be set up mutually and agreed upon by the customer at an early stage.

OPERATIONAL PROCESSES

Before starting designing of a technical system, an operating concept has to be developed. Based on an organizational concept, the operating concept includes all operational processes and procedures to meet the demands of the service level standards.

TECHNICAL STORAGE AND CONVEYING SYSTEMS

Based on the results of the strategic planning and the operational processes analysis, LCSG provides the layout design of the technical storage and conveying systems, including system performance specification, power supply requirements, cooling requirements and static loads calculation.

To make sure that the technical systems will meet the operational requirements, LCSG offers different simulation services as well. On demand LCSG is also in the position to provide the structural and civil engineering works as well as the structural building design.

INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY

Based on the layout-design and the above mentioned operational procedures, an overall IT system architecture, including the interfaces to the client's administration system (host), will be designed.

As a result of the analysis, a detailed information technology specification will include the following items:

  • General requirements to the supervisory and control system
  • Hardware and operating system software requirements
  • Application software requirements
  • Remote Control System (RCS) requirements
  • PLC system requirements

TENDERING

As a result of the conceptual planning phase, it might be necessary to enlarge existing cargo handling systems or to purchase new cargo handling systems. LCSG offers services to support the corresponding tender phase as follows:

  • Development of the tender documents
  • Pre-qualification of suppliers
  • Distribution of tender documents
  • Question and answer session
  • Evaluation of tender documents
  • Supplier recommendation
  • Contract negotiation support

MANAGEMENT

According to the time project schedule, the project management phase will include manufacturing, installation, commissioning, acceptance tests and the ‘running-in period’. It includes, but is not limited to, the following services:

  • Support for the creation of the specification and other planning- and design documents of the manufacturer
  • Co-ordination and approval of design documents with manufacturer/client
  • Project progress control
  • Project monitoring
  • Supervision of the acceptance tests and analysis of the results
