Integrated Project Management (IPM) is experienced in leading complex airport projects, covering the management of design, procurement, construction and transition into live operational use.

We lead the development of new terminals as well as works to existing live airport buildings, where our techniques are used to provide solutions that mitigate potential airport business disruption.

IPM initially analyses how best to achieve the desired results, appraising a variety of options with the client and his representatives in the process. Once the optimum has been settled on we ensure it is accurately defined and documented in a way that can be clearly communicated and interpreted by appropriate suppliers. We then take responsibility for the procurement of specialist suppliers and contractors.

We establish and agree cost plans, programmes and quality standards and then, by implementing our bespoke management procedures and processes, we make sure they are delivered to meet the client’s expectations and satisfaction.

AIRPORT DEVELOPMENT AND DELIVERY

IPM develops project completion and operational handover strategies to ensure that the client is able to smoothly take possession of new projects. We ensure that a fully trained staff is in place, ready to make the new investment an outstanding success.

IPM is experienced in all aspects of airport development and delivery, from construction of new terminals and terminal extensions, piers and lounges, retail facilities through to specialist systems such as baggage and hold baggage screening, flight information systems, common user terminals and general electronics.

We use these experts to encourage the best from specialist system providers and we often work for such system providers to help them to deliver complex systems to their own clients. We lead the testing and commissioning elements as a key part of this activity, planning it in the initial project stages.

OPERATIONAL READINESS

As our projects progress we develop programmes to identify and provide for the live operational requirements so that our clients can successfully take possession of completed buildings and systems.

These programmes account for resources and material requirements, operational manuals and records and any specialist contract support.
