ICC Nominated for ATC GLOBAL 2008 Awards

Ifield Computer Consultancy Limited (ICC) are delighted to announce that they have been nominated once again for the ATC Global 2008 awards.
ICC were nominated for the 'innovation award' in 2005 for their ATRAK-IMS® Information Management System and again in 2007 for their new ATRAK-Xrecorder® ATC Data Recording system. This year ICC has been nominated in the 'Developer' category for their integration work at the new Integrated Air Traffic Control Centre (IATCC), in Jenec, Prague, Czech Republic.
The IATCC was one of the largest projects of its kind in the Czech Republic, representing the largest investment ever made by ANS CR. The IATCC was awarded the Czech Republic 'Building 2005' prize, and ICC’s involvement included the upgrading and migration of 'mission-critical' ATC and 'Back-Office' MIS systems to the new centre. This involved all aspects of ICC systems migration including IT infrastructure, servers, workstations, specialist monitors, critical data backup, as well as operating system and application upgrading, testing and deployment.
ICC played an integral part in delivering the right hardware and software skills and services to ensure the success of this project. ICC installed over 120 specialist ATC controller workstations, eight high-availability, mission critical servers, (ensuring 'non-stop' operations), as well as the secure extension of working positions operating with ICC’s ATRAK© ATC applications.
ICC’s role in such a major project underlines their expertise, commitment, and co-operation and the culmination of over 17 years of collaboration with ANS CR's dedicated team of ATC experts and project managers. A combination of collaboration and innovation in implementing new technologies has ensured a smooth transition during live operations at the IATCC.

The ATC Global 2008 awards are being held on Tuesday 11th March 2008, from 17:30 at the Holland Restaurant, Amsterdam RAI. ICC and their ATRAK solutions can be seen at ATC GLOBAL 2008, Stand No.H521.
