Further to having successfully deployed a digital recorder system and communication system for Al Bateen Executive Airport and a Precision Approach Path Indicator for Sir Bani Yas Airport, Bayanat Airports Engineering & Supplies (BAES), the leading airport systems integration provider, announced that they have recently been awarded the project to design, supply and install a navigation aid system (instrument landing system) for Al Bateen Executive Airport by the supervision committee for the expansion of the Abu Dhabi International Airport (SCADIA). With these contracts, Bayanat Airports has widened its services and offerings to the country’s local airports as well.

According to its latest contract with SCADIA, Bayanat Airports would be required to design, supply and install the instrument landing system (ILS), sistance measuring equipment (DME) along with fibre optics backbone, appropriate shelters and flight calibrations for successful ICAO CAT I certification at Al Bateen Executive Airport. As for the previous contracts, the company supplied, installed and commissioned the legal voice and radar recording and replaying systems at Al Bateen Executive airport and the wind direction indicator and precision approach path indicator (PAPI) system at the Sir Bani Yas Island Airport.

“Bayanat Airports is one of the leading specialist aviation technology companies in the region with a great track record having successfully executed a large number of airport projects in the UAE and the Middle East Region. Having worked with Bayanat Airports on a number of our projects, we have seen their capabilities and achievements demonstrated at Abu Dhabi International Airport and have offered us the best solution in installing communication and navigation systems at our new projects, Sir Bani Yas Island Airport and Al Bateen Executive Airport,” says Mr Talal Al Jouhi, systems design manager at SCADIA.

Bayanat Airports completed these projects to the complete satisfaction of SCADIA. The systems integrator, which offers a wide range of solutions ranging from Terminal, ATC, runway systems to Airport Services, won these contracts in addition to the existing services offered for the capital’s international airport.

“We were happy SCADIA and Abu Dhabi Airports Company chose us for these prestigious projects,” says Mr Alain Bourjeily, general manager at Bayanat Airports. “This further strengthens our presence in this territory as we expand our works into other regional airports, which ADAC has recently been appointed to manage. These projects were of very high importance to us as we were able to prove our added values as airport system integrator for the various technology fields.”

Prior to completing these projects, Bayanat Airports had also participated in the recently inaugurated air traffic control centre, The Sheikh Zayed Centre, operated by the General Civil Aviation Authority for the control and regulation of civil aviation in the UAE, which is responsible for the provision of en-route air navigation services and all aspects of flight safety. Bayanat Airports installed all infrastructure related to the digital end-to-end communication systems including ultra high and very high frequency ground to air and voice communication control systems.
