Zenitel provides integrated solutions for aviation fields where customers have a special need for fast, reliable and secure communication. Zenitel customers include airports, airlines, metro systems, general building and site security services, defence agencies, and public safety networks for police, ambulance services and fire brigades. Zenitel's efficient, tailor-made solutions can meet customers' most demanding specifications. Our IP and TETRA solutions are secure and integrated. AIRPORT OPERATIONS AND NETWORKS Zenitel's STENTOFON AlphaCom E for airports offers internal communications, airport announcements, group calls and alarm distribution, and every STENTOFON intercom call gets through. High-quality audio provides efficient public address and private communication. Zenitel supplies customised, integrated, fixed or mobile critical communications, whether voice or data, analogue or digital, high frequency or low frequency, or a sophisticated combination involving gateways, VoIP, etc. AIRPORT RESOURCE MANAGEMENT AND WIRELESS INFORMATION APPLICATIONS Zenitel's 'fleet management' solutions connect front-end and back-office operations, using integrated IP and radio communications to provide increased efficiency, automation and transparency in airport and ground handling operations. Focusing on added value and using vast systems-integrator skills, Zenitel can guide airlines towards the integration and migration of their existing communication networks, adding value to the operation as well as preparing for future technology. Zenitel also offers a number of unique applications to various users of the facility, including Flight Number Call and Gate Info, which empower the workforce with remote and wireless access to key flight informatics, and a more dynamic utilisation of resources, providing significant time savings. COMMUNICATION COVERAGE IN BLACK-SPOTS Zenitel can provide solutions wherever specialised communications are needed due to radio-impenetrable areas. STATIONS AND TERMINALS Zenitel provides IP and analogue intercom points as well as comprehensive links to the standard telephone world through its SIP interface. STENTOFON equipment can also automatically send an e-mail when an alarm is triggered, send call logging information in different formats and provide easy interfacing to CCTV systems, both IP and traditional analogue. Zenitel offers a wide portfolio of mobile and portable terminals ranging from standard radios, over integrated voice and data terminals and in-vehicle Mobile Data Terminals (MDTs) to intrinsically safe units applicable even in hazardous ATEX-classified environments. COPENHAGEN AIRPORT TETRA COMMUNICATIONS Zenitel is responsible for establishing the infrastructure, developing the software applications and delivering mobile terminals at Copenhagen Airport. Among the requirements for the TETRA system is the ability to migrate a range of existing functionalities into the new communications platform. One operator at the airport requires a hierarchical structure to enable supervisors to overrule horizontal communication and earlier applications. Zenitel's new communications system will both provide a full, real-time overview of all manpower resources available for allocation and significantly improve the working and communication routines of the personnel involved with ground handling. BEIJING'S OLYMPIC AIRPORT'S IP COMMUNICATIONS Zenitel upgraded the security and communications system at Beijing Capital International Airport (BCIA) and is expanding the system into the new Terminal 3. Using AlphaCom E exchanges and stations, the system provides chiefly operational communications. The new system will extend its integration to the security system, the information integration system, the master clock system, access control, public address and a VoIP telephone system with SIP trunking. In the future, integration to Cisco, TETRA radio and CCTV can be made; any number of features and solutions can be added when required; and special applications can be created by interfacing to other third party systems as annual passenger-throughput increases. TETRA AND IP AT NORWEGIAN AIR SHUTTLE For Norwegian Air Shuttle, Zenitel integrated the existing TETRA network at Gardermoen Oslo Airport (OSL), a VHF AM flight channel and the customer's head office to enable all staff to communicate on one network. One AlphaCom E is placed at Gardermoen; this unit includes the interfaces to the external radio systems and the setup for the cross-communication group. The other AlphaCom E at the Head office is connected to Gardermoen via the customer's data network. One of the first systems of its kind, the system assures complex communication and the quickest reaction possible when critical situations occur. GLOBAL AVIATION REFERENCES Many of the world's most secure airports, airlines and ground services recommend Zenitel, including Incheon International Airport in South Korea; Sea-Tac Airport in Seattle; Dubai International Airport, the UAE; and Roissy-Charles de Gaulle Airport, France.
