Visual Defence - Security Convergence

Visual Defence, the security convergence company, provides advanced solutions for managing mission critical systems at leading airports around the world.

Specializing in converging multiple subsystems such as video surveillance, baggage handling, fire alarm and access control into one comprehensive solution, Visual Defence provides airport customers with public safety and security solutions that increase management efficiency while leveraging existing security infrastructure.

With its common management platform, Visual Defence provides flexible, customizable and scaleable solutions that meet security and business goals.

COMMAND AND CONTROL CENTER™ (3C)

The 3C command and control center is a common management platform that provides a complete customized solution allowing a single point of management for video, audio and alarms generated from numerous subsystems.

The unique rules-based engine of the 3C allows customers to program it according to their specific procedures and operating polices.

SINGLE POINT OF MANAGEMENT

The 3C provides one central system for managing multiple systems such as video, audio and voice. The 3C can also manage systems for

  • Access control
  • Perimeter detection
  • Fire
  • Building management
  • Baggage handling
  • Traffic management

RULES-BASED ENGINE

The 3C incorporates predefined workflows for a simplified and consistent response to alarms and events.

Specific rules, which operators must follow when responding to alarms or events are defined. These rules can include automatic and manually generated activities, and they are translated into step-by-step instructions for operators.

EASY-TO-USE DASHBOARD

The 3C dashboard is composed of three interactive and intuitive interfaces:

  • Video and assets display
  • Alarm / event notification and procedures
  • Multi-level mapping

VIRTUAL MATRIX SYSTEM (VMS)

The Virtual Matrix System (VMS) is a comprehensive application for live and recorded video control, surveillance and monitoring. A single VMS enterprise supports:

  • 20,000 cameras
  • 1,000 monitors
  • 512 analog keyboards
  • 512 VMS SoftClient applications
  • Node application – multiple VMS’
  • Sub-tenant application – the ability to have multiple clients using one network infrastructure and one VMS

VMS HARDWARE FLEXIBILITY

VMS uses an open architecture platform to allow clients to choose video surveillance hardware that best meets their needs. Clients have the option of both analog and digital hardware (cameras, digital video recorders, etc.) from a variety of manufacturers.

VMS RESOURCE SHARING - MULTI-TENANT CAPABILITY

Airport clients have the ability to realize significant savings by sharing cameras within the VMS system. Based on built-in priorities and rules, multiple airport tenants (i.e. airport authorities, airlines and immigration) can access video from one shared camera.

COMMON MANAGEMENT SYSTEM

Visual Defence integrates existing and new security and monitoring solutions into a common management system to provide a simple and cost-effective transition to digital infrastructure, while providing integration with legacy analog components.

FLEXIBLE OPEN ARCHITECTURE PLATFORM

Visual Defence’s open architecture platform provides the ability to manage and deliver digital video, audio and data from multiple devices and multiple vendors to any location by leveraging network architecture and delivering data into a single management solution.

USER-FRIENDLY GRAPHICAL DASHBOARD

The user-friendly graphical dashboard displays integrated analog and digital devices from all locations. Alarms are generated from those devices and pre-defined workflows are provided to support operators when responding to emergency situations. This enables fast, consistent, and cost-effective monitoring and management of locations, assets and events.

END-TO-END SOLUTION PROVIDER

Visual Defence’s professional services team consists of experts in the design and integration of video, audio, network and security systems. Each customer receives a customized cost-effective solution based on their specific needs, including site audits, development, training, commissioning and installation.
