Telindus Surveillance Solutions Launches the CellStack Solo MPEG-2 Encoder

Telindus Surveillance Solutions (TSS), formerly CellStack Systems, a leading provider of networked CCTV surveillance solutions, has launched the CellStack Solo, a single channel video encoder that provides high-quality video over IP Ethernet networks for CCTV surveillance applications.
Using MPEG-2 compression technology, the Solo is capable of transmitting real-time video at 25/30 (PAL/NTSC) frames per second to either the CellStack Centauri for decoding to analogue monitors or to the Vision application for viewing on a PC. In addition, the Solo’s video motion detection feature, combined with the CellStack Event Handling System (EHS), provides an effective, real-time surveillance and alarm notification mechanism.
Fully integrated into the CellStack Integration Suite (CIS) of management software, the CellStack Solo is designed to meet high availability network requirements. The unit is environmentally hardened to operate over extended temperature ranges, and is conformal-coated to ensure maintenance free operation.
The CellStack Solo is suitable for remote or low camera density installations, such as roadside or railway monitoring, when the equipment cannot be housed in a temperature controlled room. Variations of the Solo are available with an internal Ethernet Switch to allow the daisy chaining of multiple units and can also be supplied with optical outputs for long distance installations. The CellStack Solo is designed to be particularly suitable for all transportation applications.
