Cambridge – March 14, 2004. Telindus are pleased to announce it has extended its portfolio for the Surveillance Solutions with a new range of standalone IP codecs. The Telindus 4100 and 4200 series will be launched at the Cebit exhibition 2004, 18 – 24 March, Hanover, Germany. Booth B34, Hall 13.
Building upon the success of the CellStack product range, Telindus is proud to announce the launch of a new range of surveillance solutions based around the Telindus 4100 and 4200 IP video codecs. The Telindus 4100 is a standalone encoder or decoder, using the MPEG-4 algorithm and provides real-time video over IP networks. The Telindus 4200 is a MPEG-2 codec, providing simultaneous encoding and decoding functionalities. Both can be incorporated within the Telindus Integration Suite (TIS), to manage, control and operate the video network as well as offering great flexibility for integration of other security applications and systems.
At the core of the TIS is the Event Handling System. This software component allows the Telindus 4100 and 4200 to be integrated with other digital network devices to create a complete surveillance solution, The Telindus Integration Suite has already been tested with high data rate video recording (using Telindus’ own Centinel product), with ANPR, access control and conventional DVR technology.
Telindus Surveillance Solutions Director, Dr Ken Sutherland said, “The addition of the Telindus 4100 and 4200 series to our portfolio enables us to provide a scaleable and cost efficient surveillance solution which is perfectly suited for city centres, high-end retail, industry, health and transportation projects. Combined with the Telindus Integration Suite, this enables us to provide a complete integrated solution, addressing the increased security needs of our customers in a flexible and cost efficient way.”
