An MPEG-4/H.264 expert, ATEME provides MPEG-4 and H.264 VoIP recorders, decoders and encoders that deliver high quality images for applications requiring optimal levels of surveillance and evidence gathering. ATEME's open and standards-compliant products can adapt to any type of IP network while integrating with existing legacy equipment, including analog cameras and monitors. H.264 or MPEG-4 encoders

ATEME's VSIP range of H.264 or MPEG-4 encoders is available in both rack and standalone versions. One-channel, two-channel and four-channel encoders are produced. VSIP cards are hot-swappable and racks are available with optional redundant power supplies.

Rugged video encoders

Designed for the most extreme environments, the FE series of encoders can withstand temperatures within a range of –40°C to +70°C (-40°F to +158°F).

DSP-based video security systems

ATEME's dedicated R&D team has applied the most recent advances in video technology to building high-end video security systems that respect industry standards and requirements. Entirely upgradeable, the ATEME VSIP DSP-based hardware platform is entirely upgradeable, allowing customers to benefit from the latest technological advances without needing to invest in new equipment.

ATEME's in-house H.264 codec provides bandwidth savings of up to 30% compared with standard MPEG-4 video at equal and superior levels of picture quality. Dynamic network adaption (DNA), an exclusive ATEME technology, brings additional performance gains by reducing storage and maintenance costs.

Features such as constant video quality (CVQ) can greatly improve bandwidth efficiency while maintaining an optimal level of picture quality. In addition, variable frame rate (VFR) can radically reduce network loads during periods of low activity.

Security video recorders

ATEME's VISIO network video recorders (NVR) and digital video recorders (DVR) are designed for centralized sites with multiple channels such as airports and public buildings as well as networks dispersed over large areas such as highways and pipelines.

VISIO is the ideal compact DVR for multi-site configurations that require long recording times and live monitoring. The NVR range provides large and heterogeneous infrastructures with openness, flexibility and interoperability.

Video decoders for IP networks

The ViPix range of decoders combines the best of H.264 and MPEG-4 video with a high level of flexibility and quality. With support for the TCP, UDP, HTTP and DHCP protocols, as well as for RTP/RTSP unicast and multicast streaming, ViPix is the ideal decoder for situations where high-quality video needs to adapt an IP network infrastructure.
