Herbert Systems Ltd provides the airport industry with innovative baggage orientation devices, 90° transfer conveyors, sorting and baggage conveying systems. Increased travel and international trade has resulted in an enormous growth in luggage and parcels. Businesses need fast, reliable solutions to rapid expansions and Herbert Systems has developed a range of solutions to cope with this. The company operates from its administration and manufacturing base in the east of the UK. The 9,000m² facility houses extensive engineering workshops, research and development facilities, design centres and offices. THE PATHFINDA BAG ORIENTATION SYSTEMThe Pathfinda bag orientation system has been developed to automate what is normally seen to be a manual operation. By automatically orientating and aligning baggage prior to scanners and X-ray machines and restricted conveyor entry points, labour can be saved and bag jams can be avoided. The laser measuring sensors in the frame of the Pathfinda order the twin belt system to rotate the randomly presented baggage until it is orientated and presented to within the width of the X-ray system or scanner infeed area. Whilst assisting with the manual handling problems, security is also enhanced, as the need for manual contact and handling with luggage is decreased by the Pathfinda system. The compact design allows easy installation into existing baggage systems. Its simplistic control fully integrates with ancillary equipment making the operation user friendly and straightforward. Other features of the Pathfinda include:
THE ENDURA LONG LIFE BAGGAGE CONVEYORThe Endura range has been designed to minimise the belt wear and belt misalignment issues normally associated with standard baggage conveyors. The specialist modular belt eliminates the need for tracking, reduces the need for replacement, and offers an extended life span and greater energy efficiency. The Endura range includes a non-reversing model and is available in various lengths. Its simplistic design allows for easy installation. Other features of this product include features:
OPTIMER QUICK BELT CHANGE CONVEYORDeveloped by engineers for engineers the Optima range tackles the common challenges faced by maintenance departments today. The design of this unique conveyor enables the belt to be changed in under 10 minutes. This ensures minimum downtime, saving significant maintenance costs per year for airport and logistic managers. The Optima range includes incline and decline models and is available in various lengths. Features of the Optimer quick belt change conveyor include:
CORNA 90º TRANSFER CONVEYORA modular belt alternative to traditional powered curves, the Corna provides smooth product transfer through 90º whilst offering simple low maintenance features. A major advantage of our design is the compact size, which allows 90º transfers in areas where conventional belt bends are unable to fit. The simple belt replacement offers a significant improvement against standard powered curves. Corna belt replacements are available in a range of lengths and widths to suit many applications and specific requirements. Features of this product include:
With a breadth of agents and associated companies supporting us globally, we can offer you sales, service and spares wherever you are.
