Inter-Roller Engineering is an international engineering corporation specializing in airport logistics systems. ISO 9001: 2000 certified, we design, build, assemble, commission and maintain airport baggage handling systems (BHS), in-flight catering systems and air cargo handling systems.

Established in 1979 with a staff headcount of 30, Inter-Roller is now a public listed company on the Singapore Stock Exchange (since 1991) and employs over 300 employees, comprising of highly trained and experienced engineers and design specialists.

Inter-Roller's Singapore premises occupy an area of over 16,000m², offering full in-house facilities for equipment manufacture and all aspects of project management. Inter-Roller's fully owned subsidiary, IR Engineering Sdn Bhd (Pontian, Malaysia), was set up in 1998 as an extension of its parent company's manufacturing capacity.

100% HOLD BAGGAGE SCREENING SYSTEMS

Since the 11 September tragedies in the United States, 100% hold baggage screening systems have become industry norms as airports around the world strive to upgrade and maintain airport security systems to ensure the safety of air transport passengers and cargo.

Inter-Roller has successfully secured BHS projects incorporating 100% hold baggage screening systems in Singapore Changi Airport and Philippines Ninoy Aquino International Airport.

BAGGAGE HANDLING SYSTEMS - INTERNATIONAL REFERENCE PROJECTS

Inter-Roller's impeccable track record encompasses flagship BHS projects in renowned international airports such as Changi Airport in Singapore, Chennai Anna International Airport in India, Brisbane Airport in Australia, Siem Reap Airport in Cambodia, Cairo International Airport in Egypt, Manchester Airport in the United Kingdom and the New Bangkok International Airport in Thailand.

In China, some of the airport baggage handling systems that bear the insignia of Inter-Roller includes Xiamen Gaoqi International Airport, Fuzhou Changle International Airport and Hangzhou Xiaoshan International Airport, Qingdao Liuting International Airport, Zhengzhou International Airport and Huhehaote Baita International Airport.

AIR CARGO AND PARCEL HANDLING SYSTEMS

Apart from baggage handling systems, Inter-Roller has also secured projects for air cargo and parcel handling systems worldwide. In 2002, we sealed a US$2.85 million air cargo handling system contract with the Xiamen Air Cargo Authority.

We have also successfully completed parcel sorting system projects for DHL (Singapore), DHL (Hong Kong), FedEx (Philippines), FedEx (Taipei) and UPS (Singapore).

IN-FLIGHT CATERING SYSTEMS

In-flight catering systems are highly sophisticated systems that require high-level automation while complying with strict hygiene requirements. Inter-Roller is one of the very few suppliers worldwide that can design, build and install in-flight catering systems that can accurately handle delicate cutlery at high speed.

We have successfully completed projects for Korean Airline (KAL) Flight Kitchen and Singapore SATS In-Flight Catering Center.
