We have over 35 years’ experience in airport systems design and installation, with over 450 projects completed in over 55 countries around the world.

BAGGAGE HANDLING SYSTEMS

Glidepath manufactures a complete range of baggage handling products and systems. From check-in conveyors to arrivals carousels, Glidepath can meet all airport Baggage Handling System (BHS) requirements including large software-driven baggage-sortation systems for high-capacity international airports.

SOFTWARE CONTROL SYSTEMS

Glidepath has developed a full suite of system management software. Our software packages include:

• GlideControl - PLC control
• GlideView - system control and data acquisition
• GlideSort - automated sortation control

These proprietary software packages are designed to interface with airport information networks and are fully compatible with Glidepath’s sortation system.

CARGO HANDLING SYSTEMS

Our cargo handling systems are robust and durable products. We produce a wide range of products, including orientation decks, scissor lifts, traversing vehicles, transfer tables, roller decks and ball decks.

Glidepath cargo handling systems can be manual or fully automated and are designed to transport ULDs weighing up to 7,000kg.

PARCEL SORTATION SYSTEMS

Glidepath’s expertise in the airport system environment has led to the development of a complete range of products and systems for parcel sortation. Conveyor and cargo handling technologies are combined to provide solutions for increasing worldwide demands for reliable and efficient express parcel sorting.

AIRPORT AND BAGGAGE SECURITY SYSTEMS

To meet international requirements for airport safety and security, Glidepath has developed a full range of software security systems. These include baggage reconciliation for automatic passenger-bag matching and 100% hold baggage screening for verification of baggage content safety and security.

All Glidepath’s software security systems are designed to run on industry-standard hardware, providing low cost of ownership, reliability and future expandability.

Glidepath integrates Explosive Detection Systems (EDS) including Computer Tomography (CT), x-ray machines and Explosive Trace Devices (ETDs).

PEDESTRIAN CONVEYORS

Glidepath’s Glidewalk is a versatile pedestrian conveyor consisting of crescent-shaped pallets linked together to form an endless flat conveying surface. Installed in aquariums and entertainment complexes throughout the world, the Glidewalk is designed to move large numbers of people and provide throughput control.

OPERATIONS AND SERVICES

Glidepath’s experienced engineers can determine the optimum solution for new systems or for system problem-solving. Our consultancy services include planning, conceptual and feasibility studies, careful consideration of life cycles and costs, and early identification of customer’s priority needs and performance criteria.

Three-dimensional Computer Aided Design (CAD) facilities are used to design the most suitable installation and to optimise available space and throughput, whilst complying with building physical constraints.

Glidepath integrates mechanical, electrical and software systems to provide fully automated systems. Glidepath can integrate x-ray and specialised sorter equipment, sourced from key strategically allied suppliers, for 100% screening of hold baggage and high-speed sortation.
