New Contract at London Luton Airport

London Luton Airport has placed a contract with ALSTEC for the provision of an additional baggage system. The project will include installation of check-in desks and ancillary systems to facilitate hold baggage screening. The project is intended to supplement the existing baggage system.
ALSTEC has committed to a fast track delivery, with the system going live in April 2007. To minimise installation times, the system uses modular mechanical and control elements to deliver the solution in time for additional seasonal demand.
London Luton Airport is one of the UK's fastest growing airports with passenger numbers of 9.1 million during the calendar year 2005.
