Weigel Hochdrucktechnik's product line is centred around the TrackJet system, which has set new standards for the removal of rubber and paint markings on runways, taxiways and aprons since 1998, when the first system was sold to Vietnam. TrackJet is an ultra-high-pressure precision water jet system that uses extremely little water, thus offering completely new operating conditions for airport runway and taxiway rubber and paint removal and maintenance. Additionally, Weigel Hochdrucktechnik provides TrackJet contract services, which offer our airport partners the advantages of the TrackJet system. TrackJet system: water jet runway rubber removal systemToday's common water jet methods simply cannot compare with TrackJet technology. Applying the new, revolutionary technology of the TrackJet offers significant advantages regarding:
The TrackJet system can use the carrier / suction vehicles already present at airports, such as UNIMOG 400 L or SUPRA snow removal vehicles. This significantly reduces the necessity for any additional investments in this field of technology. Optimal airport runway maintenanceWeigel Hochdrucktechnik had access to two studies generated by a major European airport and the Swedish LFV in order to evaluate the costs of rubber removal and marker / paint removal on runways and taxiways. Both the major airport and the LFV stated that one of the major concerns with traditional high-pressure washing (HPW) systems is the damage caused to the runway surface. A further significant disadvantage of traditional HPW systems was low effectiveness in removing rubber. The TrackJet system tackles both of these problems. It eliminates damage to grooving, runway lighting systems, marker paint or joints sealing joints. It also ensures high environmental care due to its low water and fuel consumption. TrackJet works with clean water without chemical adhesives and needs only 10% to 20% of the water and 30% of the fuel for the carrier vehicles of traditional HPW systems. TrackJet ensures careful treatment of the runway surface, reducing direct and indirect renovation costs. In order to avoid serious damage to the runway surface, traditional HPW systems remove only about 70% of the rubber. The TrackJet system, however, removes nearly 100% of the paint and rubber. The system also has the best possible friction values, increasing cleaning intervals. TrackJet can vacate the working areas within 3min and leaves a dry, waste-free and immediately usable traffic area. Airport runway markings removerFurther advantages of the TrackJet system include the following:
Airports that have already used the TrackJet include the following: Schiphol, Gatwick, Munich FJS, Vienna, Zurich, Venice, Brussels National, Heathrow, London City, Newcastle, Seoul, HoChiMinh City and Prague. These airports have accepted the new technology, great advantages and savings of the TrackJet system. For further information on the TrackJet in action, please consult our website.
