AIRPORT RUNWAY CLEANING VEHICLES

Two German companies located in Witten - BROCK Kehrtechnik and HDT Hochdrucktechnik - design and build the high-performance RWC 1000 HS vehicle for professional runway and surface cleaning.

RUBBER DEPOSITS REMOVED BY SUCTION

Rubber deposits on the runway are removed and entirely drawn off by suction. All of the essential components of the vehicle are hydraulically driven. The required power is taken off two sources: the direct auxiliary drive system and a gear with a hydrostatic drive, which is built into the cardan shaft.

The 1,000mm surface cleaner, which is located between the first and the second axle, can be lifted up and swivelled back into the vehicle chassis within three seconds. In case of an emergency, the vehicle can be driven off the runway within 10 seconds.

ENVIRONMENTALLY-FRIENDLY RUNWAY CLEANER

The water level in the fresh-water tanks is continually monitored. If the level reaches the lower point, the driver / operator is warned both acoustically and visually. If the level drops even further, the system switches automatically to the pressureless mode to avoid dry-running of the high-pressure pump.

To ensure that the surface being treated is not damaged, the high-pressure system shuts off the moment the driver steps on the clutch. The high-pressure system can only be activated when the vehicle is actually in motion.

Even at the full load (2,500bar and 29L/min, at a vehicle speed of 2.5km/h), the water and debris is sucked entirely off the surface and drawn off into the dirty-water tank. The RWC 1000 HS is an example of our modern technology, which more than meets today’s demands for environmentally-friendly, innovative and economical products.

EXCELLENT AFTER-SALES SERVICES

HDT attaches great importance to customer support in initial aspects of application technology, right up to the design and layout of specific vehicle required for the job to be done.

The service does not end there: once the vehicle is handed over to the customer, we deliver professional on-the-job training and a competent after-sales service. Long-term returning customers are a testament to consumer acceptance of our products and customer satisfaction.
