SWING GATES FOR AIRPORT PASSENGER CONTROL

The basic design of Turnstile Security Systems' swing gates has established an enviable record of service over the past 20 years. This design has been modernised and improved on in recent years, using the latest materials and manufacturing techniques. Features include:

• Hydraulically controlled soft closing to avoid injury to users and to extend the life of the gate
• Panic release mechanism - meets fire code and allows exit in case of emergency; is easily reset without tools
• Double ball bearings ensure the smooth and reliable rotation of the gate arm
• Breakaway feature - provides an exit path in case of emergency

HYDRAULIC SELF-CLOSING SWING GATES

Turnstile Security Systems' self-closing gates have been designed to control the movement of high volume pedestrian traffic into and out of specific areas. Universal arrow and stop symbols are permanently attached to the arm to direct flow. The gate is securely mounted to the floor surface with four 3/8in anchors.

ELECTRONICALLY LOCKING AND UNLOCKING SWING GATES

The electronically locking version of our swing gates features many additional advantages. For instance, airport passages can be monitored either by a staff member or electronically by a card reader, floor mat activator, photo eye or other device.

When connected to an EAM (electronic security system), this gate will lock when an alarm is activated. This gate is extensively used to enable easier handicapped access and for greater security.

Further features include:

• Locking mechanism, located in the gate post
• Easy and safe to install - the control module operates on a safe 24V powered by a standard 120VAC receptacle
• Audible lock and unlock signal can be provided

TURNSTILES FOR AIRPORT ACCESS CONTROL

A turnstile and railing system can improve airport security and reduce losses. Turnstiles offer an excellent means of creating a flow in one direction, allowing airport patrons easy entry while discretely directing them to the exit point at a monitored location.

Our turnstiles feature a rugged construction, incorporating heavy gauge materials and bearings on moving surfaces, ensuring years of trouble-free service.

A handicap gate may be required in the entrance floor plan to allow easy access for wheelchairs and strollers. Turnstile Security Systems offers several handicap gates, which provide different levels of functionality depending on requirements.

THREE-ARM WAIST HIGH TURNSTILE

Our 1100 series three-arm turnstiles provide an excellent means of controlling and counting the flow of pedestrian traffic in and out of airport facilities. Standard equipment includes:

• Permanently lubricated bearings
• Mechanically fitted, 17in stainless steel arms
• Adjustable hydraulic speed control

HIGH GATE TURNSTILES

3000 series turnstiles are designed to provide access control to both supervised and unsupervised locations at airports and, like the 1100 series model, can be used wherever controlled access is required.

Three rotor sections provide a comfortable passage while still maintaining high security performance. Units are available with mechanical or electrical operation, in either one- or two-way operation, with any combination of fail lock or fail secure.
